（1）冬季修剪的意义
为来年春季生长作准备。要使树木春天生长良好，必须做好冬季的养护。冬季修剪可以通过不同的修剪方法来达到促使枝条生长，或压缩成短枝和多着花等不同目的。
有利于防治病虫害。通过疏剪树枝，减少郁闭树冠的枝叶，改善通风透光，以减少来年病虫害的发生。此外，冬季是喷洒石硫合剂的最佳时期，经过冬季修剪后，适当减少树体枝叶，可以十分均匀地喷洒药剂，这样能更有效地防治来年的病虫害。
（2）修剪会不会造成不开花呢
多数花木是形成花芽后越冬的，如冬季修剪把这些花芽剪掉，就会严重影响来年开花。因此，怎样做到不剪掉花芽，便是冬季修剪务必注意的问题。对于不带花芽越冬的树种来说，不同的修剪方法将会影响下一次花期的着花状况。
